Position Overview:
As a Corporate Development Intern at Gesture, you will work onsite at our NYC headquarters, supporting the executive team in evaluating and executing strategic initiatives, partnerships, and potential mergers or acquisitions. You will gain hands-on experience in corporate finance, strategic planning, and business growth strategies, while also having the opportunity to attend corporate offsite and networking events to generate new business opportunities. This role offers a unique chance to work closely with senior leadership and contribute to projects that will directly impact Gesture’s growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in evaluating new business opportunities, including potential acquisitions, partnerships, and strategic investments.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify growth trends, competitive dynamics, and industry shifts.
  • Support due diligence efforts by gathering and analyzing relevant data, financial reports, and business plans.
  • Prepare financial models, valuation analyses, and presentations to inform decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (legal, finance, operations) to support transaction execution and integration planning.
  • Attend corporate offsite events and networking functions to represent Gesture and develop potential business connections.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the corporate development, startup, and tech ecosystems.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining strategic reports for the executive team.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, M&A activity, and key competitor strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with financial modeling is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Enthusiasm for startups, corporate strategy, and market growth.
  • Ability to work onsite full-time at our NYC headquarters.
  • Interest in networking and building professional relationships.

Gesture is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.

The pay range for this role is $1,600 to $2,000 monthly, in addition to commissions and bonuses. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.

The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
